About My Process

About Me

I’m a 20-year-old student and digital artist from Germany. My obsession with light-reactive art started when I bought a poster from the artist Trippy LED. I was instantly hooked on how a static piece of art could shift and come alive. That experience inspired me to take the 2D technique he pioneered and figure out how to evolve it inside a 3D digital space to create my own style.

My Process

I work mainly in Blender, where I combine 3D scenes with custom procedural texturing. Building my textures procedurally with nodes lets me dial in mathematically precise RGB patterns with infinitely small details that would be impossible to draw by hand. Depending on the piece, I can map those textures to create flat 2D-style optical illusions, wrap them around complex 3D geometry, or place realistic glass in the scene so the RGB patterns actually refract through the object. I’m really proud of the digital pipeline I’ve developed to render these ultra-high-res pieces.

The Final Effect

While the art starts on a screen, it is designed to be printed and viewed in the physical world. My renders are built from the ground up to interact with rapidly changing RGB light. When I finally printed my first piece and tested it under my own lights, I was honestly blown away. Seeing the light bend through the 3D geometry and procedural patterns to make a static print physically move and shift was unreal.
